Special terms are phrases to be excluded from machine translations.
By providing the same term in both Source language and Target language, the system will blacklist the specific term.
Create a Special Term
To start adding or importing Pairs as Special terms, begin by clicking on the "Create special terms" tab at the top right.
This action will open a "Create special terms" pop-up window. Here, you'll be able to import your data via a CSV file (ensure the file is correctly formatted). Please note: it's not mandatory to import data at this stage. Create the Corpus by entering the name. Pairs and Special terms can be imported later.
Once a Special term has been created, you can select it from your dashboard by clicking on it and then start adding your first Pair. On the right of the Corpus dashboard, you will find a "Search" feature to help you locate specific Special terms from the list.
Selecting a Special term from the list will allow you to manually add a Pair or import your Pairs by using a CSV file (ensure the file is correctly formatted).
Clicking on the "Add pairs" tab will allow you to manually add matching sentence pair as Special terms which will not be translated. It's important to remember that the term you'd like to blacklist is written in both Source language and Target language, as in the example below:
Once the Pairs are correctly imported or manually added, they will appear in the Special terms as a list of items. Here, you'll be able to delete the selected Pairs, if needed.
You can modify the matching sentences in a Pair by clicking on the Source text or on the Target text.
